Monday, March 29 - Sunday, April 4
This week, I returned to working on the gown;
however, progress was slow due to the distractions of Easter week. There were
numerous other tasks demanding my attention, and with the lovely weather, I
couldn't spend all my time indoors. Overall, I'm satisfied with the project's
progress, though it will take at least another month before it's finished.
Monday, April 5 - Sunday, April 11
The gown is beginning to take form, and it
looks stunning. Although I didn’t complete as much stitching as I had hoped,
the process is progressing well, and I haven't encountered any further setbacks
that require me to unstitch. However, I have another hectic week ahead, so I
don't anticipate finishing the gown anytime soon. I do hope to find at least an
hour each day for stitching. Cross-stitching is incredibly soothing for me; it
serves as a perfect way to unwind after a busy day.
Monday, April 12 - Sunday, April 18
I knew it was going to be a hectic week..
Throughout the entire week, I found time to dedicate only about two hours to
stitching, which isn't quite enough to make a noticeable difference in a photo.
Monday, April 19 – Sunday, April 25
This week, I felt I needed to dedicate extra
hours to my stitching to make up for lost time. Fortunately, the cooler, rainy
weather provided the perfect excuse to stay indoors. The rain was beneficial
for our grass and trees, making it a win-win situation. My project is
progressing smoothly, although I’m starting to realize it’s taking longer than
I initially anticipated. Nevertheless, it’s turning out beautifully, and I’m
growing eager to complete and frame it. I already have a designated spot in my
home where it will be displayed.
Monday, April 26 - Sunday, May 2
I often find that I don't accomplish as much
by the end of the week as I had hoped, but I am truly satisfied with how this
project is progressing. Cross-stitching is just one of the many activities I
engage in to stay productive. As a retiree, I strive to maintain discipline by
dedicating several hours each week to the various projects I'm involved in.
Currently, I'm also working on scrapbooking, enjoying a novel, going for my
daily walks, and managing household chores. Soon, I will need to tend to my flowers,
which will limit the time I have available for cross-stitching.
